The background on this painting is not black. It's really dark blue which contrasts beautifully with the orange and copper colors of the leaf.

This painting can be hung whichever way you want. There is a removable sawtooth hanger on the back which can be moved to accomodate any direction.

This painting is varnished and comes with a sawtooth hanger. The edges are 1 1/2 inches and painted so it can be hung as is or framed. I signed, dated and titled the back.
